| August Munich was born and raised in New York. From an early age August showed an interest in art and was found to be very mechanically inclined. August took up painting and woodworking during his teen years. In 1980 as a young man August ventured to California in search of a new place to live.In 1982 August moved to Santa Barbara and soon became part of the large talented community of artist living there.
